Shahrukh Khan’s recent blockbuster Om Shanti Om brought him great fortune but with side-effects. He has been receiving extortion calls from gangster Bunty Pandey, who targets Bollywood biggies for money, just like Abu Salem did.

Shahrukh got repeated calls from the gangster demanding a sum of Rs 2 crore. He informed Mumbai police and its Anti-Terrorist Squad about the calls. It is reported that Pandey sent six goons to Shahrukh to speak to him personally.

The Crime Branch and ATS teams are on the trail of the gangsters and they have been successful to some extent on their mission. The security around Shahrukh’s bungalow ‘Mannat’ has been tightened.

Shahrukh is not available for comment and his secretary has expressed ignorance regarding the episode. Senior officials are also not available for comment.
