NDTV Imagine’s plans for Rakhi Ka Swayamvar has kicked off with roaring response from prospective grooms from across the world. In just 20 days of the show announcement, NDTV Imagine has received a thunderous response from Rakhi’s admirers. There has been a flood of entries received from across the globe via phone, email, sms and even personal deliveries to the NDTV Imagine office in Mumbai.
News is that over 12, 500 men from across the world have sent applications seeking Rakhi’s hand. Numbering among them are doctors, models, engineers and plenty of NRIs. Rakhi revealed that she felt overwhelmed by the love and support shown to her, and has released a press statement saying that the response proves that she’s not gimmicky. The next step would be to go through the applicants and choose the 15 best candidates. Rakhi will then begin spending time with the men in order to find her perfect life partner.
