Bhojpuri Superstar Ravi Kissen who is like Rakhi’s elder brother gave her a surprise by making a special appearance on NDTV Imagine’s most awaited Rakhi Ka Swayamvar.

He took the responsibility to make sure that his sister is considering the right people and for the genuine purpose of getting married.

In the show, to be aired on NDTV Imagine, the item girl-cum-actress will choose a groom for herself with the help of the viewers.

Apart from being the show’s host, Ram, who was last seen as a contestant on dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3″, will play Rakhi’s friend and guide and says he is extremely excited about his new role.

The show is expected to hit the small screen towards the end of June.

In just 20 days of the show announcement, NDTV Imagine has received a thunderous response from Rakhi’s admirers. There has been a flood of entries received from across the globe via phone, email, sms and even personal deliveries to the NDTV Imagine office in Mumbai.

News is that over 12, 500 men from across the world have sent applications seeking Rakhi’s hand. Numbering among them are doctors, models, engineers and plenty of NRIs. Rakhi revealed that she felt overwhelmed by the love and support shown to her, and has released a press statement saying that the response proves that she’s not gimmicky. The next step would be to go through the applicants and choose the 15 best candidates. Rakhi will then begin spending time with the men in order to find her perfect life partner.
